Mixing oil?

Got some Castrol Gtx 5w 40w left over, so will prob use the rest of that this weekend on an oil change. However I will need some more so is it best to use the same again or can you chuck in any 5w 40w??

If your doing and oil change do it right and get 5ltrs of your chosen oil, keep the left over as spare.
You can mix oil of the same viscosity.

as above, I tend to use whatevers in the shed as topup and do change itself with a full compliment of one brand of oil
