Mk1 1.8 16v

Car  Clio Mk1 1.8 16v
Well i'm new to clio's but anyway the clio got rolling roaded and got the out put of 149.9bhp , but only 112 lbf/ft, so just wondering how far a good service will go to improving the torque, and if there's alot more i can do to improve it, i just recently bought it and was rolling roaded by the previous owner, the car has done 139,500 miles lol

cheers :)

Welcome.
If your car put out that amount of bhp it's either, A, not stnadard, or B, the rollers used were up the wall.

Those figures seem quite good to me, when was it last serviced etc ?

yeah its not standard, i'd say about 2 months ago since it was serviced by my records, was quite impressed by the bhp output just not so much by the torque output

as far as i'm aware it has some strange throttle bodies, Unkown Brand of Air Filter although it is quite big with a cold air feed, Janspeed Backbox...thats all i'm aware of tho, and don't think its had a rebuild, although it may have at somepoint in its history

same kinda figures (bhp) as the willy, torque way down tho.

as the 1800s are. 149 for an 1800 on bodies is pretty low tho imho
