What's the best time a stock mk1 172 did on a quarter mile drag strip?

What 'bout modded ones?

standar prolly 15.3 modded could be anything down to 14.00

iirc the best standard mk1 172 time is around 14.6

I ran my Mk 1 172 sport at york in July this year. Car had an induction kit only no other mods. Best time I ran was a 15.394 @ 87.67 mph with a reaction time of 1.173. It was my first day on the strip but according to other people there the strip was running a bit slow due to the heat (it was bloody red hot) girlfriend got sun stroke Opppp'S!!!!!

Naw - 15.2s, that was without the decat and panel filter.

A standard car with standard interior is very low 15's maybe 15 dead

prolly better suspension setup putting the power down that little bit better.

they ain't to bad over the quarter then.
i bought mine more for the circuit track day fun and country roads. although i do fancy a run up the quarter at some point
Spend enough time at santa pod and all round europe doing the drag racing.
My dad races a pro stock bike in the fim european drag racing chapionship so spend my time at these tracks usually stood on the start line and in the pits appose to getting a chance of actually going up the strip.
finised 3rd, 2nd and fourth in our last competitve years though!! best rep from the uk anyway!!
