mk1 172 or mk2 182?

  Megane R26
Love my Ph-1. Only thing I would change is the rear. Chris has it nicely :) Front is so aggresive looking :quiet:

  Golf R/Leon FR
depends if you can afford it and what would you do with the 1.2??

pointless having it and it not doing anything might as well sell it and use the money for nice mods on the ph-quick

Should I keep my car and get another car - mk1 172??
Your cars almost a 172 looks wise anway the only reason to get one is for the power.
I'd get one but keep yours.

  Monaco Blue 172
not entirely relevant but i've just been out in a mk2 and then a mk3 172 and i gotta say i much prefer the mk3 it just feels a lot more refined and cohesive, and the steering wheel is not so flimsy!! i like the rubber grippy bits :D

Mk2 phase 1.
Or if you fancy a realy good car.
Mk2 phase 2 shell. phase 1 outside if you want that
Use a Cup engine and box and get it registered as a Cup (don't need ABS then) then engine out and stick the phase 1 engine in as its better better still have it rebuilt.
Suspension, go for either a 182 Cup or a phase 1 with new rubbers etc.
Use the phase1 wiring.

What the insures like if I put the 172 engine in my clio?? :S
It depends how you do about doing this legally the best way is to buy the kit from a phase 1 swop it into your carn then go to the DVLA and sya the old car which your engine etc was from was written off and reshelled so they will register it as a phase 1 172. Then ring for insurance saying your cars a CAT (whatver the car was) write off but repaired insurance maybe a bit lower as its not worth as much but least its a proper 1721 officially.
The other way is to stick it in tell the DVLA its have a new gniena nd box then see about insurance depends on companies how much they'll want some won't cover it. Others was tiny premium increases.
