Mk1 Boot Rattle, Please HELP!

FAO Mk1 Clio owners;

Not life or death but as annoying as sticking pins in ur eyes;

Rattle coming from boot lid, behind plastic bit. Checked the bulbs and rear wiper and had some 1 crawling about in the back to try and find it with no luck.

Any 1 had this typical French problem who can help a desperate man?

pull off the plastic bit and have a gander mate

Yeah done that to no avail, although it was my brain dead little brother that had a look while i was driving so the noise could be located while rattling. Also tried shaking the boot lid but cant hear anything.

I was kinda hoping some1 would post ow yeah it was blarr blarr and fix it by doing somethin really easy.

i used to have a rattle from the back when i had my little RT..........ended up being the parcel shelf.....

it cant be many things though......check hinges...most people forget to oil them so they rust & wear.....also boot lock could be loose or need adjustment.......i presume youve tried driving along without the parcel shelf & rear cover removed.....?...you should find it....just gonna be a process of elimination...good luck !!

Yeah, its stripped out at the mo after York so it could be the lock but how dyou go about fixing that?

If i can find it exactly and have trouble fixing it ill reply with something specific. Cheers.

yeah, just cheak bolts and stuff. gotta be somethin like that
