Mk1 Clio rsi - Volvo Turbo Engine

If what people have told me is correct about the engines being identical apart from the volvo having a turbo strapped on, would it be possible or striaght forward enough to get a 2nd hand turbo set up from a volvo 440t/460t/480t and stick it on the rsi lump?

I know people are going to say why not just do a full conversion but i was just wondering.

you'd need the ecu aswell as well as sorting a turbo oil feed and return etc its probably not worth the hassle

I believe the Volvo engine runs on 2 ecu's on a lower compression engine 9even tho the engines themselves are near idenitcal. For example the Volvo engine without the turbo runs about 95bhp when the RSI engine runs 110bhp standard due to higher compression etc. Correct me if im wrong tho. You could possibly custom fit all the parts on if you get a custom re-map tho and run it at a low boost so things dont go bang but for the price doing that you may aswell just stick the whole lump in anyway.
