MK1 Clio Suspension Question

Car  Clio 172
Just asking this more out of interest really. I remember reading somwhere a while back that R19 wishbones and ARB can be swapped over to a 1.8 16v clio to widen the track and make it close to williams spec. What I was wondering was if this can be done with say a 1.2 mk1 clio? Are all subframes the same on mk1 clio's or does the valver have a different one? Also are any other parts needed i.e. driveshafts, steering rack, hubs etc?

I think all the subframes on mk1's are the same (apart from the williams) so the wishbones & arb will fit

You'd also need the driveshafts from the 19 or williams, as for the rack you just wind the track rod ends out a bit more.

The suspension struts will have to be modified or replaced with williams items or you'll have issues with the camber

Foxy is running mk1 with ph1 172 wishbones (same width as williams), driveshafts, brakes and topmounts.
