Mk1 drive shafts and Mk2 drive shafts

Will the MK2 drive shafts fit on a MK1 172?
My mate is selling some and mine are clicking a hell of a lot on turns.
The MK1 is on a W reg if that helps, not sure of the MK2 clio.
