mk2 172 GEAR kNOB CHANGE

Hi,

Need some advice please.

I have Momo Gear Knob that I want to fit instead of the standard Clio one.

Car is a mk2 172.

Anyone changed theirs?

Seems a bugger to get off.....any tips?

Ta.

get a pair or mole grips on it and just twist.

If you pull off the leather/plastic cover first, it might be easier to get a grip.

paul172. is the man for this, he fitted the mk1 172 onto his mk2 172.

just a case of pulling the fecker off i think.

Ive not done it to mine, but I have to a friends. Id rather keep the leather than have cold hands on an alloy one!

Molegrips is the only way to do it without destroying it.

Most people tell you to take a hacksaw to it!

angle grinder is good too!!!!!! there isnt really a way off removing it without destroying the original!!!!!!!

Sawed mine in 2 bits too..........The carbon one I have now is soo much nicer!!!! Who neds the standard one anyway???
