MK2 172 Steering Wheel

Does anyone know if the MK2 172 Steering wheel will fit the MK1 172?

My existing suede wheel is F.U.B.A.R

IIRC there is one too many wires for the airbag Speak to J3NED when his had the 172 engine im sure he had the new style dash with wheel in it
