Hi there, when i start my clio it ticks over at a very low rate and most the time stalls unless i rev and will carry on till i have driven for a little while. Once warmed up though it isn't a problem. It seems to be getting worse. Any ideas?
Hi thanks for the reply!
Any idea where the throttle body is on my car and how to take it off?! I have a 1.6 51 plate mk2 ph2. I have searched the forum and nothing substantial came up. I also googled and some guides came up on "renaultforums" but the site appears to be down.
at the back of the engine is ur airbox with 2 E8 bolts through the top. remove them and push the airbox back. that silver unit is ur throttle body. theres 2 10mm bolts underneath the throttle bodyand 1 on top. its a bit tight because with the airbox off doesnt give u much room but its easier than tryin to take it out!! hope that helps.
u need to undo the 2 rusty lookin bolts in the picture first. take them out and then u can push the airbox back away from the throttle body. then undo the 10mm u see in the picture and theres 2 10mms under the throttle body that u cant see in the picture. undo them and then the throttle body will come out. hope ya get alrite!
