Mk2 cup holders

How bloody useless are they!!?

on the 182, due to the climate control panel you can't fit anything thats even remotely the size of a cup in there!

The holders in the glove box lid were much better on the Ph1 172, they weren't deep enough but at least you could fit a Costa Coffee in them!

They're fine on mine, use em for drinks bottles/ protein shaker. Cant fit a large cup in, but a regular mcdonalds jobbie goes in fine.

Find that when you take it out though you have to be careful not to lose the lid and spill it.

lol whenever i get a maccies i have to try and reach behind the misanos and stick my coke in the rear cup holders/pockets until i get home, if i try and stick it in the front half of it pours all over the gear gaitor :(

aye, thats what i used to do, the rear cup holders are spot on for large mcdonals drinks.

The Clio had a lot more storage that my Lupo, however the cup holders were rubbish I never put a drink down there mainly because they don't fit and secondly because if it spills it would be a nightmare to clean out and also isn't the diagnostics plug thingy under the ashtray, knowing my luck it would spill onto that and screw the whole thing up a treat.

If im on the go, and parked up eating mcds, i balance my drink on the door card/handle that you close the door with. Touch wood, ive not had a spillage yet!! or if im driving, as said, i just put my drink in the back cup holders:)

i could understand if they were shaped to hold a bottle of wine and some cheese but they're usless as they are.

mine holds: My wallet, radio front box & screen wiper

just makes me drink quicker and then need a wee shortly down the road.

Only bottled drinks are allowed in my car these days after the 'idiot with the cola' incident.

Yup i find them useless too. esp for cans, coz once you turn the car, the cans are so loose in the holders that they tip over

Yeh there crap, put a can in and you have an in car pool, but maccies cups in and it spills on the gear gator, there just awful, very bad design, its not the hardest thing in the world to design is it, all that u have to do it go maccies in the prototype and its sorted.

Yup, balancing on the door card is the only option once a drink is opened.
Doesn't quite work once you start driving tho...
Passenger's job to hold, or, between the legs, though that is highly dodgy...

after my first trip to maccys in my new clio other day i can agree with u guys on this. good job missus was there to hold the drinks and food lol

oh and it was only today i found the rear cup holders. feckkking massive.!!!

has no one designed owt for the front cup holders yet? where the space is i mean. i know on my old bora where there was a gap someone had designed a push out cd holder...

just thouhg it could be a good place to put a pop out din sized cup holder or some other gadgty thingy bobby...

wasnt of space if not. was tempted to put a sat nav in there with external aerial. but prob crash trying too look at it etc.

They're bloody useless anrt they mate. You have to slowly balance a full can of pop into it, so basically unless its 1/3rd empty your likely to spill it.

Maccies cups are a no go. Biggest problem i have with my clio tbh, though than that its reasonably well designed.

The clio is crap for storage full stop! Biggest moan from my girlfriend lol, I must admit, the 206 was like a cave compared to the Clio :clown:

The front cup holders are rediculous! Even holding cans or bottles - they move about when you take a corner or roundabout

The rear ones hold my QD Spray & Glass cleaning stuff :)
