mk2 ph1 with mk2 ph2 lights

i was driveing home from work an spoted the normal modded mk2 ph1 crap alloys dustbin zorst an noticed they had put ph2 rear lights on it noting wrong with that but everytime they hit the breaks it lit up orange but do these lights have to be rewired to work legaly on a ph1 :S

also it only had one breaklight

Yes they do have to re re-wired to be the right way round, fubars guide shows how, although unless they are on here they'd not realise about it.

Mk2 ph 1 rears are gash, they were the first thing to go on my car, I had phase 2's on it within a week.

Aye mine were gone within a fortnight too; like said the wires do need to be changed.

Yeah they wouldn't realise, unless it was pointed out to them.

Yeah will fail an MOT, assuming they put it in for one lol.

I was so close to getting a rear bumper, but had to back out last minute. Was in the right colour and right near me too, so annoyed I missed out.

I always liked the ph1 shape overall so I have no intention to change the lights or anything else to ph2

ph2 lamps look gash imo. Love the fact the ph1 lamps are just one colour all over, red.

Speaking of 'upgrading' also hate the ph2 bumper craze on ph1's :quiet:

Ph1 rear lights lok utter poop ! Plus as the lense is all red it is really hard for folk to see the reversing light.

Nothing looks particulary good about it, the same as it would be if it had ph2 lights
