MK2 Phase 2 172 Replica - New Member - All paid up!

  RR Vogue SE 2009
Hi

I am a newbie to this cool forum.

I have a 2003 Clio 1.2 Dynamique, that I bought to sell on. I got it cheap as it needed some minor cosmetic repairs (wing and headlight cracked) and a clutch. I normally trade small cars and have found that clios are very sought after.:D

Anyway cut a long story short, this one has been sat in the unit for a couple of months, till I have had chance to get it sorted. In the meantime I came across and bought a full 172 sport body kit front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wings, xenons, boot spoiler, wheels, and full cup interior - So it begins.
I served my time in a body shop, which also had a mechanical side (dads garage) so I am thinking about making this humble 1.2 into a sport rep that is insurance friendly.

It is horrible (IMO) capsicum red at the moment. I am thinking a colour change, either white or blue... edging towards white.
It will all happen pretty quick but I wil post progress on here and it will be going in the forsale section first then egay no reserve auction.

I have a few mods in mods in mind to hopefully turn this into a stunner.

Isnt the red the same color as a trophy ?

Make a trophy rep, dont think anyone ever has!

Sam!

Hi I think it is the same colour but for some reason it looks well on the trophy's. You could be onto something there.
In standard form the colour looks weak and a bit poo...:dead:

Still fancy a nice bright white one - seen one on here. OMG Dribbletastic.

Well after a good 9 months lurking in the depths of my unit the time has come to start work on the shitbox.

I have bought 5 lovely litres of Ford Frozen white and cleaned my devilliebliss GTI up a treat so very soon the shitbox will be a lovely white hue.

Trail fitted the front end:

All fits where it touches.

Purchasing these:

Going back tonight to 800 and white scotch the whole car. The beauty is that no repairs needed just a quick scuff up, mask out and blast away.

I have removed all doors and boot lid since the photos above and will be removing the bonnet and battery tray/fuse boxes so I can paint the inner wings and suspension tops white.

Like I say not looking for a profit on this car, just want to make a nice low insurance reasonably sporty car for someone, so I am taking my time.

I have a FULL cup interior with immaculate seats. Black headlining, sport kick trims. Everything needed expect for the lower bumper grill.. Any one have one I can buy??

That is all

:)

Right I need your help...

After deciding that I was not too keen on the ford white, I am back to square one, sort of.

Three choices of paint only one car. The car is all prepped now and ready for a new coat. So is it to be:

(a) - Luna Grey with red wheels
(b) - Racing Blue with white wheels
(c) - Ford Frozen White with gunmetal wheels

Answers on a post card please.

Thanks
