Mk3 clio drivers window

  Clio mk3
Hi just wondered if anyone has any idea what this might be, my drivers window on my mk3 clio, if it's been up for a while when I go to open it it seems like it's slightly stuck? Goes up and down fine just wondering if anything could be causing it to have difficulty opening smoothly after being closed for a while? Any ideas? Thanks

Dirty window channel. Clean it out and maybe give it a quick blast with some silicone spray.

yeah i thought it might be a bit dirty, seems to have a bit of mould or whatever in there, any advice on the best way to clean it out? never had to clean out a window channel before so dont want to end up damaging anything etc

haha yeah sounds good! just wouldnt wanna get anything strong on the paint/rubber seals etc that may damage it! but ill have to pick up some silicon spray next week and give them a good scrubbing! is it worth going around all the window seals or just the side channels where the window comes up?

Wouldn't bother with the silicone spray! I did this to mine and it just smeared the window up like crazy every time I moved it :( Only did it to stop the squeaking seals!

You don't go full r****d and spray it everywhere. Just a small application on the upper edge will be enough to allow the contact point to pick it up!

How much would you use on the window seal to stop it squeaking?

Are you after a scientific/physical measurement? The smallest dribble is all that would be needed, just use common sense... you won't break anything just make smeared marks on the edge.
