mk3 coilover problem.. chopped spring maybe? Help?

hi,
i have bought some kw v1's off ebay and gone to fit them on my car by the help of a friend whos a mechanic and for one weve took the rear springs off and and the rear springs that came with the coilovers seem to look like theyve been chopped
heres a pic

so has anyone got idea if these have definately been chopped and where do i go next because ive messaged the guy on ebay and he wont accept a return and tells me theres nothing wrong with them they came straight off his car

pretty sure there cuts mate, i know a lot of people with cut springs and they say there fine, i personally wouldnt have them on my car so its up to you! if not buy new rear springs i guess.

yeh thats what i thought but i dont want cut ones on my car tbh especially when its a pretty newish car aswell, so looks like going through a paypal claim or if that fails buying new rears, anybody any idea how much for some new rears from kw or anywhere else maybe

a lad PM'd me a while back asking to buy my gaz coilover rear springs for his mk3, he said that they would fit if thats any use? i cant confirm myself if thats true or not though! if it is, i can sell them.

ahh right im not sure if theyll fit or not, does any1 knw if the rear springs will fit on mk3???

Defo been chopped, the top of the spring should also have a flat face on them.

I'd get a paypal dispute on the go if I were you.

Yeah I agree they looked chopped, who the f**k chops lowering springs? Just chop the standards in that case surely? Good luck with the Paypal dispute.

I would say that has been cut,KW's sit a little bit high at the back,so I guess this has been done to compensate that issue.

Yeh i cant see why someone would buy £800 coilovers and chop the rear springs, and also he hasnt sent me the rear top mount things and the ones of my standard rear shocks dont fit anyone know where i could get some of these?
