After writing off a company car:

Boss told me I had to buy my own car...so here it is:

Really liked the Clio so thought I'd get myself one! Put down a deposit on the car and should be picking it up thursday/friday as long as my insurance documents come through soon.

Few plans are to colour code bump strips, (smooth rear bumpstrips after a while), debadge tailgate, HIDs, clear indicator bulbs (front & rear), install my head unit and sub, possibly retrim the door cards and gear gaitor in red leather, fit RS replica mats with a red edging. Will probably lower it after a while...not straight away. And also potentially get a map/panel filter when K-Tec have finished developing their map.

I'll put up some decent pictures once I've got it in my hands!

Few pictures after I picked it up and debadged it:

Plastic strips are in the bodyshop as we speak and should be back on the car Monday. Also got a set of RS replica mats in the post.
Fitted my head unit into the car yesterday too, no pics though!

Not gonna be able to lower it now until next year probably as I've got a commercial policy through my company. So I'll have a private policy next year in Feb and lower it!

Was gonna get the Clio done privately for £2.5k, didn't want to splash out, so thought I'd take it through insurance..they wanted £6k to repair it so they wrote it off

What do you think I should do?

Suspension/performance will be done next year.

Just want a bit of red leather and the mats to brighten the interior up.

Everything else is very minor...clear indicator bulbs and possibly HIDs.

Interior Changes would just seem a slight waste of money IMO

Are there not Dash Strips or certain interior plastics you could get sprayed as would be cheaper and easier to revert back to standrad when it comes time to sell,

Clera Indicators and HID's both sound like good places to go

I think bright coloured plastics look tacky and the leather is an idea I'm toying with..not looking to get it done asap.
