Mk3 Golf Detail

  LY R26 230 F1 Team
So after seeing some of my work a few people have got in touch to have their cars corrected.

First up is my mates Mk3 Golf 1.8 8v show car, very nice color indeed very similar to the R32 blue.

Great i thought, get this upto show car standards no worries.... Easier said than done! Due to the car having a respray at some point in it's 16year life various panels where of differing 'toughness', so parts i only managed a 80% correction and others closer to 100% correction!

Namely the bonnet, roof and quarters wee tough as old boots but nevermind i persevered....

Here we go then.
Method: Std prep pretty much for any of my details.

-Pressure rinsed
-Pre wash with APC+Valet pro ph neutral
-Wash 2bm with lambswool mit and mf mitt for sills and Dodo SN shampoo
-Dried with MF towels
-Wheels cleaned with bilberry and vikan wheel brush
-Arches cleaned with APC
-Nooks and crannies cleaned with APC

-Clayed whole car
-Foamed again
-Washed again
-Rinsed
-Dried with MF towels

Used CG hex logic pads: Green White Black
Sonus compounds CFX1 CFX2 CFX3
Poorboys black hole glaze
DJ Purple haze

That's some amazing snow foam, getting rid of swirls ;)

Joking aside, it looks good, good work!
