Mk3 Induction

Won a powertec induction kit real cheap on ebay a few weeks ago, hasn't got any instructions with it and just wanted to try it out really. Anyone else fitted an induction kit on a mk3? If yes, how did you do it?

Pictures may help.

Is the induction kit you've got even for a mk3 clio? No doubt it's just an open-cone filter with some pipework - replace your current airbox and pipework with that.

Yeah i just wrote down what the box says but you're right, open cone with a little blue bit of pipe and a mini filter which i think goes on a pipe which comes out of the original set up.

and instead of the red elbow pipe its just a short blue one and some jubilee clips instead of the brackets.

There you go then as you said, the small filter goes on the breather, then you just replace the piping with that (very) small blue silicone you have.

You may find you will need extra piping, but won't know until you try it!

Thank you, had a mind blank on what the breather was called. Looking at the space i think it should fit with just taking the airbox out and leaving the original pipework in. Anyone removed a mk3 airbox? Hopefully easy as i'm rather a novice at working on cars.

You should be ok tbh, if not there should be a guide somewhere!

It's probably no help, but for removing a mk2 airbox there were 2 screws holding the box to brackets, once they removed it just came out!
