mk3 ride quality on coilovers

How is the comfort of the ride affected by fitting coilovers on a mk3?

I really want to get a set of coilovers for my mk3, but its the daily/family car, so is used to transport the little one around ( 5 days old now ) and dont want to make it too uncomfortable for her to be in.

dont want to spend my hard earned readies and have to remove them after a couple of days.
