Mmm F4R ITB lush'ness

  HBT 172 Cup
Just a few shots i couldnt help but share, wont be long until its done now just sorting a recon JC5 out, and some cambelt locking tools, then she'll be dropped into my mk1 shell.

Its just a standard engine with jenveys on it (but not your conventional SF style), got VEMS standalone (haters guna hate ;)), just finishing off a few bits of wiring and shes good to go. Going to have the cam cover resprayed metallic grey as i did a poor job of spraying it white. The manifold is a heavily modified F7R item too.

Hopeing to acheieve the 200bhp mark.

They ITB's look huge, will the engine fit or will the slam panel need modified?

Does look tasty tho!!

your really going too struggle too fit that into the engine bay mate, Them trumpets will be too long, meausre from the Head too the end trumpet see what the size is and ask the question to some one running the k tec kits size, as we had NO room to get a filter in had too butcher the filter too get it too fit.

Looking very impresive tho mate well done :)

The alternator hits the slam panel when you jack the engine up, you will NEVER fit those ITB's in unless you hack the front of the car to peices!

here is ours. we had to remove the top bar to fit the air filter! and the ITB close to the head light suffered from lack of air compaired to the rest so we have to cut the slam down

Thanks for kind comments!

Regarding me struggling to fit it in the bay... Its the exact same setup i ran on my meganne F7R, same manifold, ITB's, backplate filter, e.t.c everything and it fitted. I dont run the slam panel and part of it has been cut to allow the filter there.

So unless the head dimensions or positions between F4R and F7R are significantly different, i dont forsee any problems. :)

Ive got no aerial shots of the previous setup, but you can get the idea from this photo...

Yeah even with the Jenvey I had to spend a while doing dome shaping lol.

Though I believe the Jenvey comes as 45mm only so I had to take it out to match my 48's
