Moaning sound when turning (Groaning, wining whatever you like) HELP PLEASE :)

Right I know when power steering fluid is low this problem occurs but this isn't the case.

Basically I was driving down a country road and I missed the suitable entrance to the road I needed to go down. Now I was travelling at about 35-40 so in the spur of the moment I full locked it left and turned in to the road. I managed to get around it with a bit oversteer but after that when turning the steering at low speed I get a moaning sound, especially when parking.

Any ideas?

I'm guessing since you mentioned the fluid you've checked the level of it. Could also be the power steering pump, happened to mine before. If it is that it wont go away by chance, it will only get louder and louder and louder!

dalemalley went away, however when I took my wheel off and put it back on it came back for a day then went again
