modified air box

Hi is there anything i can do to a 1.2 16v air box, to increase air flow... i only ask because im getting bored in the holidays and i like fiddling with the car

Large CAF running to the Airbox

could i say, strip out the inside of the box, at the moment its just got a huge chamber that isnt connected to anything, perhaps bore out the pipe going in to make the intake larger? just some ideas i have floating round, anything to avoid working...
