Hi guys, thought I'd share a cool job I was called up for - preparing this new BMW M4 at Green Bower BMW down in South Wales.

As always I started with the wheels.

Washed with the usual two bucket method, then decontaminated with Tardis, Iron Out and a clay mitt, which was much needed!

Bodywork was towel dried and wheels and door shuts were dried out with the Air Force Blaster

Leaving a sterile base ready for Panel wipe followed by Gtechniq coatings.

Looks good, although the finish on the wheels is terrible - not by you though! (pic 7)
Still prefer the M3 though.

See what you mean, they were awfully painted as well. The quality isn't there imo compared to older BM's. There was also a little mark on the bonnet in the paintwork not pictured, dirt under the clear coat.. (Customer was told)

Lovely car but not in that colour for me. I've seen two now and both have been in phoenix yellow. Not normally a colour I like but they looked fantastic.

I really like the colour.

Looks superb Andy. Mitt not induce any marring? Surprised not to see a once over with something with cut.

Not that I'm undermining your work!

  An orange one
Is that definately moonstone individual? Or is it silverstone II?

Moonstone has a distinct sandy coloured hue to it... Possibly it's just the pics though.

P.S Fvck manuals!!!

Gorgeous car and that has changed my opinion of the M4.I genuinely like the look of it now.If that were mine I would have maybe gone for the tanned leather combo.

Keep them coming,i always look forward to what epic cars you'll have next.

Love it.
Great job, how do you get such epic jobs!

The colour suits it perfect, silver suits certain cars more than others, it makes this look serious as funk.

The order I pussied out on was for a Silverstone II one. Best colour by far!

Awesome job!

but the finish on those wheels! was that marring lacquered into the finish? It's like they were scotchbrited before being lacquered.

And poor show putting cheap tacky looking pedals in such a premium car.

Lovely car and great detailing work.

But the buyer failed. Firstly by purchasing the M4 and not the M3. Secondly by specifying the manual gearbox. I have first-hand experience of both transmissions, and the new DCT is crushingly superior in every way. With the exception perhaps of acquiring Pistonheads dude points. These cars are better suited to the DCT. No question. In my opinion.

Surely he just does what the customer asks for and pays for?

Think I'd be going red leather! Thanks Ian.

Love it.

It was a lovely colour but I think I'd lean towards the yellow or brown!

Had a few nice enquiries arrive through the website this month.

Wimp, get it done! :)

Why M3 over M4?

Why M3 over M4?

M3 looks like a handsome saloon car with its body stretched over immense hardware. M4 looks like it's trying to be a pretty coupe.

It's still a good looking car, but nowhere near as hard looking. Side-by-side, the M3 looks like it would give the coupe a good kicking
