what can i do to my engine to release some more horses without increasing my premium and have major work done? some people say get a re-mapped ecu. what will this do and how much will it cost? does anyone have any engine bay pictures?

Full de-cat exhaust system, although this will increase insurence, induction kit might relase 1 or 2 tops. Worth saying the cat will need to be replaced MOT time.

Chipping it will increase insurence if delaired, but its hard for the insurence comapnies to tell, unless they go over the car with a fine toothcomb they aint gonna know.

If its still under warrenty aloth of these will invalidate the warrently, maybe on the replaced parts, not sure, my car is ooollld

Not wanting to be unkind but is it reallly worth spunking all that cash on zorst, filter, chip etc for just an extra 8-9bhp?

Weve all been there but personally id spend your money on the bodywork or a faster car m8....

A remaped ECU will give you 1 or 2hp its not going to be masssive on a petrol engine.

Superchips do a remap service which is completly hidden.

However be caresul insuracne companies are going to start checking ECIU of crashed cars if they even suspect there could be a modied mapping taking place.

Best ring your insurere and ask them what they will allow.

Your never going to get masive amout of power easily form the enigne your better of either getting a GTT transplat for about £1500 whicg gives you 120hp stock and more tunning potential or gettig a bigger engined clio.

If you want to get soem more easy poer exhaust decat and cold airintake along with pannel filter is about the best you can do and will get you about 80 to 90 hp
