Thats exactly what Ive got would like to compare to a standard Willy to see if theres much difference. Still need more power though thinking about Head & Cams but I may want to do TBs in future so would Headwork be a waste of time as I thought you needed to use megane head for this?

Ive heard that too about the meganne head - sounds like quite a job tho to start fiddling with the cams etc - Chipping, power boos valves etc will give you maybe 30bhp more (at the best!). It depends on how much more you are looking for...

I spent quite a lot on my car already so I am not going to sell it and lose loads of money.Instead I want to tune to 180+ bhp I have Viper,Full exhaust with de-cat,PBV and chip at the moment probably about 155-165 brake. Anyone know how much throttle bodies are all in?

With head, chip and cams youll probably be seeing 185bhp.. not had the pleasure of going out in one thats been tuned in this way (yet), but had a kind offer from someone on here - for when it comes to the point of deciding if its what I want to do. Was going to be very soon but circumstances out of my control have put it back quite a few months!

AFAIK throttle bodies would cost you around £3,500 or more

Ive got the exact same mods, and its getting power run next tuesday which Im expecting (realistically) 155-160bhp, so Id assume the willy would be a good 170ish......

Not had a chance to compare to another 16v/Willy and never had it RRd. I usually find that the power claims for these sort of mods are a bit excessive, so I would be surprised if it had more than 160 brake. Had a little blat with mates Astra Gsi and went past in third gear but there not the fastest cars around.

I noticed an nice increase in torque (feels a lot nicer to drive low down in the rev range) and a slight power increase coupled with the fact the limiter is 400rpm higher now, so you can go further in each gear.....

Dunno where that came from

The point of the megane head is that the port design is better for all round drivability and until you start getting into the 300bhp bracket. BUt the problem is that the head requires a fair few things modified to run.

But gasflowing the head is a good idea, and TBs will go onto the head fine.

Dave Walker at Emerald.

He knocked the VAT of for us tho, but even inclusive wouldnt be 3500!!

Depending on ECU used, injecotors, rail build and the bodies you actually use the price can sky rocket.

BAsic setups dont cost much though no.
