Most Amazing Alloy Wheel Cleaner

Fred you mustn't use it neat its ind. strengh designed to be diluted at a ratio of about 4:1 so thats a lot cheaper! Why doubt something when you have never used it? Its part of the pro range and its damn good stuff!

If clean isn't in your vocab then why bother using f. powerspray or even refurbing wheels?

lol @ "Jilly" you ever tried clean wheels that have performance friction pad dust on them!!

the stuff welds itself to the wheels, you could dip them in hot wax and the PF dust would still go through it
This man does not lie. I tried cleaning my wheels with PF dust on last week, and it would not shift with any amount of scrubbing.

I had to use undiluted wheel acid and gave them a good scrub. That just about removed it! The acid didn't do my hands much good though.

do i EVER do the sensile thing???

i give up!!

I mean FFS people clean the plates and cutlery they EAT off with the stuff!!!! and people are whinging about using it on alloys!!!

Fred lol! I wouldn't argue with you on many subjects but mate I'd win this hands down! Post your thouights on www.detailingworld.co.uk

Alloys are painted with clear laquer (some) others have have much more sensitive coatings, some are aluminium etc. Is your cutlery painted?

I have no doubt it would work fred and I have no doubt that a sledge hammer would crack a walnut but so would many other things whilst leaving the 'nut' intact!

brazo, you have to be gentle when using a sledge hammer on a walnut

it works quite well

I've used fairy power spray and it shifts s**t like you wouldn't believe . I also use Aldis own version which was on offer at 99p a bottle and thats ph10 cos i've just tested it and that amounts to a weak alkali .My wheels come up like new everytime :)

The only time i would be cautious of using fairy power spray or the Aldi stuff is if the wheels had some kind of damage to the lacquer , chips , scratches etc .... then it "might" get under the lacquer and cos some damage .

Have either of you two got performance friction pads?

I tried power spray as I need to try anything to get the dust off from these pads as it nears impossible. However, the power spray buggered my wheels up a bit. I think that might be because they weren't in the best of conditions before hand. But if either of you have got PF pads and say it works as good as it does, I may look in to getting my wheels refurbed and then use power spray everytime.

As i said in my previous post . If your wheels are in poor condition i would be cautious about using the fairy power spray .

I clean my wheels on a regular basis so its easier to keep them clean rather than let the brake dust build up .

No i haven't got performance friction pads . I know i've seen fred quote he's used to fairy power spray and it worked for him also .

The best way is to AG super resin polish , extra gloss protection and maybe even wax the wheels to help stop the brake dust bonding to the actual paint on the wheels .
