MOT plates fitted

Car  306 GTI-6
I just fitted my completely plain, Halfords legal plates. No borders, very subtle shadowed postcode, name and BS number. I actually prefer them to my regular plates, they just look so much 'cleaner' will post pics tomorrow after it hopefully passes its MOT.

Am i right in saying that you can have any writing on the bottom and whatever else on the plate and not get pulled for it but just swap back for MOT time or will you get pulled for having illegal plates??

I know what you mean I polished mine the other day and its full of light dirt already you just gotta keep on top of it.

technically the plates should have the makers name, postcode and the BS number on at all times, as well as legal sized letters and spacing. Its just that now, they actaully check that on MOTs as well.
