MOT/Tax Question

Ive got my insurance document and log book but my MOT slip is back at my flat in a different county-

ive got my flatmate to fish it out but i was wondering if there is like a serial number for the mot that i could supply when i get my car taxed or do i need my flat mate to send it in the post to me?

You could probably get a duplicate made up and sent to you .. but thats probalby gonna cost you and take just as long.

i think they would need to see the original.they dont take copys of insurace certificate cos ive been there.

Why not just get another MOT.

cheers guys- looks like im gonna need him to send it in the post to me next day delivery!

hopefully some day theyl log on a computer all the cars that get mots, so it doesnt matter if you mis place ur mot slip!

cant be arse to get another one- dont want to shell out another 30 squid/ maybe more f its a group of cowboys who then tell me the engine needs replacing!
