Motorola TK30 Bluetooth kit - Speedo Problems

Evening,

I had a Motorola TK30 installed in my car with the standard tuner list head unit on Friday. Whenever I use the kit, even press a button to select a contact to call, the speedo completely dies! All other gauges work fine.

Any ideas of a quick fix? They guy who installed it said he would come back to it but just wondered if it is something simple I can sort myself.

Hes attached the mute to the speed sensor input,earths the dial upon attempting to mute the stereo

Does this relate to speed sensitive volume on the stereo? Is this an easy fix for me to do or should I just get him back?

Disconnect the mute wire, its an easy fix but why should you do it?
