Ive just had a heart stopper of a moment, my 172 is 03 prefix on the plate and it has never had an mot test, do i need to have a test before the end of the year to remain legal?

it's 3 years of age so 3 years from the date of manufacture I would assume or is it 3 years from registration? :S

It IS from date of Registration.

So if your vehicle is Registered

1st Feb 2003

You must get the MOT done before 1st Feb 2006

Your date of registration will be on you RegDocs.
