mpg keeps resetting

As above really, the mpg and log etc randomly reset upon start up now as I got a shock when I flicked through and read 11.5 mpg.

Have I inadvertantly done something that defaults it to this?

Do the needles sometimes flicker when starting the car?

If so, I THINK it means the battery is on its way out. not 100% sure though

Its the original, so six years old but I have experienced no problems starting or running and given the very cold winter a weak battery would have given up the ghost.

It still sounds like the battery to me TBH.

defo sounds like battery, my onboard computer kept resetting itself after i left the car overnite then one day it was dead, a transporter ride and a new battery later - mint

Ok no worries will get a load test done on it.

Will come up fine on a test mate mine did !! but swop it and will cure the problem

Mine started resetting overnight turned out the battery was fooked, get it changed fella
