Multicar Policies

Don't know too much about this. But from a quick quote on Admiral to insure the Trophy and a 306 HDI it's about £950. I have 7 years NCB but obviously that's only allocatable to one policy. Anywhere/body else that is competitive?

I had a look at these a while ago. Four cars at the household, but it was cheaper to insure separately. Are you getting it cheaper with a multi policy?

Could you not insure the clio with the bonus through a specialist and then mirror your bonus to insure the pug?

That price seems quite high imo

I think there is a bit knocked off. I haven't done two individual quotes, I'll give that a quick go.

Few more quotes and £950 is very, very cheap.

DL want over £1,000 for the Trophy alone and a "specialist" which is underwritten by Aviva is £1,800 for the two cars.

Think if I end up with the cars that £950 is very reasonable. I'm paying about £600 for the Trophy now and to have another car for £350 with no NCB I don't think is that bad.

Aviva want £600 for the Trophy with protected NCB which is pretty good considering I have to declare a claim now due to that uninsured hitting me. If they recover the costs via being sued it'll go down to £500.

The problem arises on the second car where it gets very expensive. Unless someone will mirror ncb for me I think £900 will be my best quote. So in effect it's costing me £300/£400 to insure the 306.

No online facility with Sky, which is a shame. Trying to decide whether to go visit a car.

Yeah, no one can touch the quote I have had. I expect it to come down a little more too, as I'll be another calendar year older. Personally I think £900 for the two is reasonable.

multicar is very very good

one mate is 20 has a corsa 1.2 and an mr2 turbo.

just him on the policy, 3 points, and the 2 cars.

a grand a year!

other mate, 20, 16k cooper S, 3 points, £1,400 on family multicar fully comp!

Do you earn separate NCB's on each car with multi car policies?

yes you do. We have a multicar policy to insure the Clio's and Gem's work car (ford Ka). The Ka is on a third policy that doesn't have any ncb yet, but becuase they see that we wouldn't be driving the Clio's as much they bascially insure the Ka for free :D

it was by far the cheapest way for us to do it, they insured all 3 cars for £1160 which includes both of us on all 3 cars, gauranteed no claims and a £200 excess ;)

Hi,

we deal with some very highly specced cars it is almost impossible to quote online. A quote on the phone takes 10 minutes usually.

tel 02083645500 if you wish to give usa try.

Thanks

Admiral multicar is very good, offered good quotes for all my fam so I think we now have 4 cars on it.
