Multiple policies on one car?

Car  BMW E92/Audi S3
Is it possible? I'm selling up the PH-YeahLow for a silly cheap price. Just to add up abit of money for the new motor and I'm going to have to wait until September, but until then I want to drive my mrs 1.1 206 about, just to get me around.
She's insured under it and she's the registered owner. Any chance that I could get insured under that car too? I'm with Chris Knotts and I don't want to cancel my policy altogether because I need to get around from place to place and I don't fancy paying another deposit.

Any help, you get a hug.

dont hug me, but technically as she is registered keeper you cant insure the car in your name.

not 100% sure what you are asking, but i know for a fact that you can add another named driver to an existing policy, but its illegal to have more than one policy on one car!

As above. Illegal to have more than one policy on any car (according to direct line anyway).

more then one policy can not be taken out on one car, just think if you write it off they aint going to pay out to the both of you?

Alright thanks.
Now I'm fuckered for what to do whilst waiting for my new car as I don't feel like paying another deposit down lol.
