Nice purchase, proper wee go kart there.

Prob need to shave your seats more often than Zippo has to shave, has that boy hit puberty yet :rasp:

Agree with repainting the calipers the red just doesn't go.

So you would go back to Toyo's?? Need 4 new tyres and can't decide what to go for!

I have been informed from the legend that be Big Iain that it will out pace and out handle any 172 with a few cheap choice mods so watch this space. ;)

Evo reckon it will touch 60mph in 7.4 even though Peugeot state 7.7 either way its quick and cheap enough to run until im in a better financial position

Peugeots book figures for 0-60 are all done with a passenger and half tank of fuel if i remember correctly, whereas most others do them on fumes etc. Suppose it gives a more accurate 'real world' figure.

Looks lovely mate. I was realy tempted by these, almost bought one at one point. Get a pugsport exhaust on it, they're awsome.

Everyones telling me about these im looking into them on 106OC

Looks a great example mate, and as I'm sure you found out those are pretty scarce.

I was very lucky with this i think (it was the first one i looked at, and to add 126 miles from my door..)

Looks good dude..

Cheers mate, you own one aswell eh?

Fair play! I used to run a 2003 Saxo VTS and it would have rattled the fillings out your mouth but this 106 is solid it seems really well put together which if im honest, im kinda worried it doesnt rattle lol :(

Well i'm home fella and the favt I see no vts in this section makes me smile! :)

I think by reading your posts that the gti is better than the vts... Although some people still seem to claim it's the same car!

the silver gti I had was easily the most fun I've had in a car since I started driving without a shadow of a doubt mate. Can't wait to see it in person!

Looks great Danny and easily one of my fave colours for the gti!

It's not the same car i'm sorry, the outside is different, the inside is different.

Did I mention engine, suspension or chassis? No. The gti is a better car imo.

Yeah it bloody well is, pretty much made in the same factory, its pretty much the same car, same engine, suspension, gearbox etc

Only difference is the cosmetics thats purely it.

I have owned 2 106's and 4 saxo's and the half the part have both Cit and Pug badges on them.

There are same except for the obvious

VTS seems to drive differently to the GTi and i cant put my finger on it, at first i thought it was because the VTS was lower slightly butim not sure...

Either way, cant wait to get it on the road :)

How old was your VTS Danny? wear and tear makes cars pretty different

Funny you should ask Rory, the saxo was a 2003 and it was really rattly and stuff didnt feel very well put together.

The GTi is a 1999 and makes no rattles/strange noises or creaks or anything! :S

Luck of the draw i suppose :)

Nice that!

Bought the gf a cherry red phase 1, 2 owners 77k, love it!!!. Just trying to source a new steering wheel for it, as the original is a wee bit tatty. I could easily ditch the 197 for one!!

Get my pug back tomorrow Danny boy, I'll be running it more than I was to blow the cobwebs out. (once I MOT it!)
