My 182 has gone all torquey!

I don't know what it is - but it's good! :approve:

In the past few weeks, it's had its 36k service. Been fed nothing but Tesco's 99RON juice (about five tankfuls) and the weather has noticably gone cooler.

Maybe a combination of all three have added to the 182's low-down grunt, recently? I was driving back on Grane Road last night and got held-up by a Polo :quiet:. I dropped to just over 40mph and put it into 5th........ on an incline. It cleanly pulled forward without any labouring whatsoever.

Sliproads in 2nd are now even better.

I hope it stays like this!

Weather helps loads, had a few warm days where mine felt pants, but a few cool early morning drives of late and it has felt a different car.

Crisp January mornings in my old 5 turbo turned it into a missile. Sadly Summer not only gave me a sweaty sack with no A/C but made it alot slower. :(

On the Pug, did an ecu reset then fed it nowt but vpower, absolutely flies.

Atmospheric pressure makes a different, to a very small extent, but a difference nonetheless.

I love the cold weather for the car. Its also had a massive surge increase on the bike lol.

  ph1 172... Sold:(
About 4 weeks ago my local Tesco started selling 99. Now I've found out they're redeveloping the store and losing the Petrol station. WTF? My car's been great on 99 and even better on the last few cool dry mornings.

Still, it's better to have loved and lost...

I wouldn't worry about it, Ste. I've been to various Tescos recently and they all appear to sell the 99RON stuff. You'll probably need to just travel a bit further out!
