My 182 wont lock - urgent help needed

As title says

Press the button and a red light flashes on the key, does it normaly do this?

How do you lock it without using the key fob, when you lock the passenger door, it dont look the boot or drivers door.

Car is in the garage, but cant go anywhere unless someone can help.

can lock the car still from the inside of the car useing the dash button though.

battery flat in the key? that's what happened to me, changed battery all works now.

brute force!!! take it of the key ring and push from the back, there should be 3 lines and an arrow running across the key, have this facing up!, put your thumb on the back of the top section and your fingers on the bottom of the bottom section and push! there must have been an easier way to explain that!!

Try this - Sit in passenger seat, press button on dash to lock car, get out of passenger door, drivers door and boot should remain locked, use key to manually lock passenger door.

My Cup also loses the power to lock. Do as Mark has said if desperation kicks in. Or, I sometimes restart the engine, turn ignition off, remove key (and with driver's door open), press keyfob. This should lock the doors, and let the noise to know you've left a door open. press button again, and then close driver's door and relock with keyfob...its a pain in the arse, but it should work if your keyfob still has battery and power.

Twice mine has stopped working, batteries were fine. I think it looses its sync as it comes back after a while bloody annoying!!
