Hence the 'claimed' lol. The torque figures are more realistic at around 270lb/ft, fairly impressive.

Yeah thats right. Some mappers go for a 'low' peak BHP of 250 but can get you a peak torque of 300lb/ft!!

TVR is close at 280lb/ft ish. Still 300lb/ft is very impressive.

I loved my old TT. The interior is awesome.

I do like the V6 diffuser Chris, how do you fit that? I may be getting a company car so the TT might be on it's way. But if I don't stay in my current role then it's getting lowered and possibly remapped.

Nice car mate, I'm thinking of swapping from a 182 to a TT, how much am
I looking at to get a fairly decent one?

Thanks laura I suppose for that sort of money I'm looking at something with 60k plus on the clocks, is that an issue? I don't really know much about them.

I sold mine on 99k. It was fine.

I found a 225 on PH earlier in a stealers, 04 (53 reg) with 40k on it, bose etc, it was £12k is that pricey ? It was grey/silver with the red leather (like gstar's car) it looked pretty nice.

Very. There's 03 plates going through auctions for 5k now.

Yea I see loads on there that are around the 12k price.
I can't imagine what they are like for 5k though Christ!!

You find the people thathave had them from new are still trying to sell them for 12k +

we have a few sub 11k as audi approved stock, so 12k privite is alot!

anything under 110k wouldnt worry me as long as its been serviced correctly.

I'm coming round to them now, never used to like them  It would have to be messed with though, i'd wanna have it re-mapped etc. Plus some Porsche wheels put on it etc.

Fairly easy to fit yeah, a few torx screws, and a load of clips. I reccomend the qs one over the v6 splitter, I think the gloss works better with the silver as opposed to the matt v6. Mine's also had it's bum debadged, apart from the audi badge, much cleaner and less busy.

6.5 - 8K ISH for a decent 225 quattro coupe

180s can be had for less i thibnk

Very. There's 03 plates going through auctions for 5k now.

5k would be a dog..auction prices are lower anyway tbh.
All depends what you're after. For a v6 you're looking at 10k+.

Mine was a facelift 225, full audi service history, 50k, nice oem wheels and I got it down to 8k private.

One quick question do they all come with xenons, or not?

Nope. I don't think the lesser spec 150s and 180s do.
The early 225s don't either I think?

Mines got Xenon's, they were an option as Laura states.

Cheers Chris I'm going to look into getting one I think, it does improve the back end! What were those wheels on yours fitted to originally, not seen them on a TT?

Mine has covered 128,000 miles and doesn't bother me in the slightest, it's got 13 stamps in the book, most of which are from audi. Had a new turbo at 110k and cambelt was done at 122k, she sailed through her MOT today with no issues at all.

They're audi votex 18s, very rare, and very light :)

The rear diffuser is about £30 from the dealers, the v6 is matt, qs is gloss.

Any tt related questions feel free to drop me a pm.

£30's a bargain.

You can't beat a TT on Porsche wheels.

That's the route I was going down, only some wide split rims and slammed on coilovers.

It's expensive to lower it though tbh, coilovers, adjustable tie bars and 4 wheel alignment and you're looking at around a grand :(

What's not to like about that, what coilovers have you fitted?

I like yours now laura. I think the only thing putting me off is the running costs and servicing costs.

I don't think servicing costs are too bad, I could be wrong though.

The service I had done was all of the below.
Oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, haldex filter, h3 bulb, 2x CV boots, 4 spark plugs, haldex oil, engine oil, brake fluid. They also tightened up some pipe work related to the turbo and re-tapped my sump as the thread had gone. All that inc parts and labour was £380.

I've got a receipt for a cambelt/fanbelt/water pump change at £420, so 1*2 money really.

  AMV8, Mk1 Golf
maintenance costs not too bad, just had new rear disks on mine £80 for the parts which i thinks good for genuine audi bits.

mine needs a new aircon compressor as its noisy but at £700+ i think ill leave that lol

only starts getting expensive if anything to do with the quarrto goes.

mpg is the killer for me tho £30 a week in a 172 , £45 a week in the TT

Those wheels really don't do it for me.

What got me thinknig of them was a seeing a grey one slammed on wide alloys (it was going along so I don't know what wheels they were) it had a few other mods on it, it was driven by a girl, it had a TT plate on it to.

  Audi TT
Yup I went from 172 to TT and loving the TT. The 172 is for sale of now I've swapped plates etc.

I picked up an S-line with a few nice additions. The MPG people are saying sounds a bit gash to be honest. On the motorway run back from London my trip computer was averaging 43mpg. Since filling it up at the beginning of the week I've given it some beans with a civic type R and another TT in leicester and not been slow on the journey to work and back and still averaged 29mpg.

Laura - What's the score with the MOT things? Also do you work for Audi? I need someone on the inside as I think my dash pod could be on the way out. The fuel guage is over reading by quarter of a tank which is apparently the first sign it could be going wrong. I've been told Audi were replacing them FOC but since April this year moved the goalposts and started saying FOC only if has a full Audi service history. This is blatantly a load of tosh as there's no way an Audi tech would even touch the dash pod during normal service routines. There's no way I'm paying £700 to replace it so need to know for def that I can get it sorted gratis. After all it was on Watchdog about them so it's a well known issue with them up till 2004.

Remap is deffo the way forwards with them along with a few other bits like uprated recirc dump valve and exhaust. Mine's on an AMD remap and rolling road showed it at 277bhp - 385Nm which I think was before the blue flame exhaust system so should be a bit higher now closer to the 300bhp mark.

Bit of pic whoring of mine for those who missed my topic last week.
