My car is a P2 *1 but has mk2 engine components from factory

Had a small Lincoln meet today and meet with ashleyt33 (Kangoo 172) and Cup_Phil (sweet TB cup).

After looking at both there vehicle attention was switched to my Clio 172 Exclusive.. As i posted when I first got the car it came with some Mk2 parts from the factory..


Has any one else got a late registered mk1 with any stock mk2 bits on it from Factory

Just very Curious Now to see if any one else knows...

Its possible you might of had mk2 ph2 bits on your car at somepoint in its life

As for parts, talking to Ashleyt33 it has a ph2 fuelling system, there is a small return pipe that is on the ph1 and not ph2 ( i will see if i can get a pic)

When ashleyt33 see`s the post he may be able to shed some more light on my car...

All late Ph1's and early Ph2's are a bit of a parts bin special.

normal, loads were like that, some had phs2 fuel systems, some had ali bonnets most had steel, some had shift light, it was luck of the draw what you got! some had small port phs2 engines, some had large port phs1 engines

Renault have always been guilty of throwing whatever was lying about left over from the ending run onto the new cars or the new run onto the final few old cars, the mk1's are the same hotch potch at crossover time between phases
