Looks really smart mate :D

There's not alot you can do to 1.2's performance wise imo get the sport front wing's, bumper's and go for the 172 rep look !

Dont bother with mods on a 1.2 engine wise, other than induction kit IMO.

Cars look good mate, should look great when lowered

decat is a good mod but wooulnt expect much performance wise. mainly for noise mod. however a remap will be interesting as i dont know anyone that has had it done. according to k tec you will get 7bhp. car looks nice though mate:)

thankyou. i know but i rekon ill have it at least another year lol

Yeh dude hold on to it - maybe some colour coding and a sport interior. I was in exactly your boat 1.5 years ago. Stuck with my 1.2 (with K&N of course) and only now looking for something new. Gotta warn you though, I'm 19 and my insurance really hasn't come down THAT much. Also, you have youself a very decent looking 1.2

That looks nice mate!
Gimmie your wheels? lol jokes
Gotta kinda stealth thing going on there, looks good!

cheers m8y, think i will get it remapped and decat. Minse as well lol

would love to see someone do that on here. Most people will tell you there's no point in doing things like decat, remap, manifold, strip out, etc. on a 1.2 but if you're like me and you and stuck for insurance then it's the best way to get alot of fun out of your car.

Keep these plans and don't listen to the guys on here that don't realise just how expensive insurance is for us young-un's!

i lowered mine 40mm and its makes a big difference on the handling. now im on a 60mm drop looks great and handles well. just on standard shocks though there not alot of give on the rear and bit bouncy in the tight corners and can fell it wanting to kick. i upgraded my brakes from standards to red dot racing disc and pads. bit crap in the cold but brilliant once they get warm. also got a pipercross induction kit on. sound awesome. o and a good set on tyres helps on the cornering and on the braking. i want to de-cat mine , your ment to get upto 15-20 % more power. but i find with the upgrades i've done it a lot quicker than before. and a good service now and again. i luckly managed to get all that on a clearence at my works for about £150. would of been about £500

There are no real performance mods for a 1.2 tbh. Just make it look good, get some decent suspension and enjoy :D

i hate pro race 1.2's tbh. fair play though if your going to spend money on remapping etc. super way to throw your money down the drain.

as JME said just make it look/handle good and enjoy.

Reminded me off mine when I joined cs m8, looks smart, but paint the drums black, rs grill and that should keep you happy for a while and an induction kit but thats all I would do to the engine personally but if you get it remapped hope you are happy with it m8.

you will be told to leave the engine alone etc as its not worth it. ive been there done that, i got good gains for a 1.2 was it worth the money NO, was it worth doing probably not, if i could go back would i do it again YES.

same goes for my 172, numbers dont tell the full story i spent about 2k on my 172 on performance mods and gained 20bhp, on my evo ill gain about 150bhp+ for that lol was still worth doing on the 172 tho.

panel filter in the airbox, larger air feed from the airbox to front grill, custom decat (or home make one with an old cat, smash the internals out of it, good but not as good as a real bypass pipe), cat back system, then map it for 98ron fuel, you will probaly gain about 15bhp at the max when mapped with all they mods but it will transform the way it drives and responds
