Hey you guyyyyysss!
I've been having a recurring issue of the abs engaging slightly even while gently braking for a couple of years now on my 182. Didn't always happen but it's fairly common now unfortunately.
I was just coming back from the supermarket on a dual carriageway at about 40mph and the ABS or traction control system went totally haywire. It slammed on the brakes making the car kind of zig zag to an almost complete stop.
Luckily wasn't hit from behind.
Is this a module failing or something serious?
I have previously replaced one of the rear abs sensors. All the abs rings are ok I believe.
I reset car and drove home slowly, didn't happen again thank god.
Surely an occasional wheel speed sensor error would not cause a car to slam on its brakes like that?
I was considering just taking the abs fuse out. At least then if I crash it's my fault not the cars.
Any help much appreciated 👍
