my clio mk2 MODIFIED, leave me a comment :) !!

  330Ci (Fail)Sport
You'll be lucky to find anyone who likes your choice of mods. CS is very much a more mature outlook on modifying.

You'll realise one day what everyone is going on about though. But at the end of the day, if you like it, that's all that matters. Seen a lot worse but seen a lot better non-sports too.

nice car mate and my fav colour , like the tints and dont really hate the mudflaps even though i would`nt have them on my car but ....................... them wheels are rank !!!! really are mate get rid asap mate

I went through this stage at 17-18, my first car was a citroen ax gts,put 17 " wheels on tinted the lights, stupid 4" exhaust, stood back and thought cool lol.
If you like it thats all that matters as its yours and your taste but just start to have a look around you will start to see what people are saying to you, less is more, big wheels just dont suit small cars especially halfords specials, clean lines with only subtle body mods, standard rear lights definately, smaller wheels from another model clio maybe, lowered but not ott or you will ruin the ride and the shocks.
You only need a different back box with a 2.5" tail to be in keeping with the rest of the car, anything more and you may find pics on barry boys.
Give the mudflaps to marti Mc fly, he will take them back to 1985 for you.
Sound system fair enough, but more weight = less speed, will also affect the handling and braking but your choice, at 17 i wouldnt be without my stereo man.
Just remember, next time your at the lights and you look over and the guy/girl looks like they are on the phone laughing and shaking their head, they are not on the phone mate, they are admiring your ride.
All is not lost however, just keep the hoodie on, right hand top centre of the wheel and lean left, job done.

I think you have a base for a good project car... the wheels are better than smaller standard wheels, however you should lower the suspension a little so you get the stance right. You will find on the majority of forums that members that want to modify their cars the way they want to and different from what 95% of members do will be ridiculed for it. You will find (that other members have obviously forgotten) that there is a massive following of unique modified cars with bodykits, big wheels etc etc so please dont be put off by any comments.

At the end of the day its your car and you choose the way how you want it to look. If you have spent money on modifications you are not going to remove them as that would be silly and a waste of your dosh! ;)

I think your ride has so much potential so keep up the good work (and modding)...

Have you thought of painting the calipers and drums and if so what colour? If you want to go down the bodykit route you should check out the kits that K-tec offer as they look cool! just decide on the look you are after and go for it ;)

i think everyone goes through that stage mate

Speak for yourself.

Sorry chap, but those wheels are horrible, irrespective of size.

The rest has already been said.

True, there's no rule that says all clios must adhere to the given CS formula, but common sense should also intervene sometimes

Take the mud flaps off.

Remove the tints.

Sell your alloys on eBay.. with the money you get back, buy some better ones.

Lower it.

PMSL!

Seriously, here's a list of reasons why this car is gash.

The Wheels - Familiar to anyone who frequents halfords car park on a saturday night, they were probably cool in 2002. Now they look shat. Sorry, I know it's your car, but it has to be said.
The Ride height - Everyone likes a bit of lowering, personally I like excessive lowering but on a clio I think subtle wheels and drop do just fine.
The Flaps - I don't think I have to tell you why they make me cry.
Tints - See "The wheels"
Lights - As above.

And "It's my first car" is a shat excuse.

DSC_0002 by Jason.Easton, on Flickr"]The Bora (CLICK)[/URL] was the first car I modified, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't as gash as that. I mean the wheels weren't too big for the car and it wasn't riding like a 4x4.

Sorry, but sometimes you have to be brutally honest.

Awful.

Nothing that can't be sorted though.

Bin the flaps, tints and wheels, lower it a decent amount, refresh the dampers and a bit of colour-coding.

Sorted.

Your mods so far are GASH to be completely honest.

Lose the wheels, lose the mudflaps, lose the 16v badge and don't bother with the exhaust and you might be on the right tracks.
why are you registered on a clio website if you have a vauxhall, enough said.

Not a fan of this sorry :(

Tints im fine with as on a black car it doesnt look bad but the wheels are abit rank and too big, never liked mudflaps either unless you do some serious field driving and their necessary.

Should also lower it if you keep the wheels :p

Because I only got rid of my Clio 2 weeks ago maybe?

There is nothing in the rules stating you must own a Clio to be part of the forum.

There is no need for comments like that though. You asked for opinions, I gave you my honest opinion.

HA !

Top Trumps ?

I've got 18's, a 4" tailpipe, 2 spoilers and 4 horizontally opposed cylinders which are blown too... but they're not on my Clio !

In regards to its only a first car, dont waste your money on it.

Save the money and save for a sport and the insurance in a few years

Horrible.

Some scrote badly damaged the paint of my Saxo VTS trying to nick one of those "16v" badges with a screw driver. I immediately hate any car that they are on for this reason.

The "Cho" mudflaps and the Halfords alloys could do with swapping for standard items. Is your name Cho?
