My cup 0-60

  172cup
Very poor vid, i'm sorry.

What do you think? Quick? (note full tank of petrol lol, a valid contibuting factor)

On the video, I start at about the 3 sec mark, and hit 60 around the 8 second mark?? Anyone agree?

I'm having trouble hosting .3gp files, they all blurr and delay the sound upon uploading. I'll take a better one today and try again.

ok this one is much better quality, although shaky (give it time to load its 5Meg).... but not as fast?

On this video, I start letting the clutch out about 1.5secs into it... and hit sixty around 7secs on the video timer? Anyone agree?

Is this quick... or not? Its in the morning... so roads not completely dried out yet; slipping on anything above 3k start off. (Note 3/4 tank of petrol now lol)

If i hadn't hit the limiter in 2nd, and stayed there for ages :slap: ... might have been bit quicker?

You can't 'time' a car witin that manner. Your speedo is your indicated speed, and you cannot be sure that the FPS from your camera phone is the rate it should be. Basically from a timing point of view its useless. Still fun to have a pop though :)

I did a similar thing a while back. Its on my website under the movies section - http://xbmod.co.uk

No but your asking, anyone agree? Which is inviting comment, my comment was saying its not a good way of timing it. And if your not trying to be precise, whats the point in the videos?

Not having a pop, just wary that its easy to think that your car does 0-60 in 4/5 seconds when it doesn't :(

god no ...... thats not what im saying. i'm not a r****d. i'm more interested in the rate the revs pick up, just hitting 40 in 1st, 60+ in 2nd etc etc. If my car is quick... or sh1t... someone else will spot it before me as i am biast.

Its a completely standard car, and i'm more than aware you get quicker std ones than others... just looking to see how mine stacks up.

looks alright to me

I personally think the fast car/ slow car thing is a bit over exaggerated on here. There will only be a few bhp in it which on a video like that you wouldnt notice. How well the car is launched is much more important.

whats the revs limit on a standard car?

completely standard... but ragged every day so very loose indeed!

rev limiter comes in at 7200 normally, or 7400 if ive hit the limiter several times before it.

At times, the actual speed achieved is irrelevant. It's what the dials on your dashboard show which is impressive. I once saw an in-car vid of a heavily modded Punto GT and the way that climbed through the rev range and turbo pressure gauge going off the scale :)cool: ) was SO different to mine.

Needless to say it probably only lasted a week before going BOOM! - but it was good to watch...
