Sprayed my wheels with plastidip on sat morning

Looked awesome! from a distance....
Finish on them was crap, I've drove around 50miles and its already pealed on in a corner so i tore it all off today.
Wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you have mint alloys that are silver/white and flat (e.g... 172 alloys)
Its hard to get in-between the spokes without it running. Its also a ball ache to get it off when not on silly thick.

Also raised it up a little the rear looks low in the picture but its on a few slabs so i can fit the jack under.

Remap next week got a K&N filter on the way to help it breath a little better too

I did my dynamique wheels with plastidip too. Exactly like you've said. Great from a distance, crap when you're up close or feel them.

Treated my self to a new steering wheel at the weekend, Went for the 300mm OMP Trecento. Arrived yesterday so got it fitted. Just need to wire the horn up or get a ph1 stalk.
Weird to drive with at first, never driven a car with a smaller/aftermarket wheel on before but it feels epic to drive with, makes the car feel like a go-kart!

Also remap is booked

Took it to a local place called Corten-Miller. Pleased isn't the right word...

114.2 bhp and just shy of 200lbft!!!

Its awesome, feels ace to drive! So responsive and quick compared to standard. So happy with 114bhp i said before i went in anything over 100bhp im happy. Looking at the graph standard it had just over 90bhp anyway! K&N filter must do something :L

thats epic for an 80. your not far off tonks dci 100 which is something like 122hp

that filter must be less restrictive or have you put a proper air feed to the filter ?

anyway sounds like heaps of fun . hows the turbo pick-up now from low revs ?

Cheers, Stoked with the results, Nope only mod engine wise is k&n filter, looking to replace whole caf with a full better one and maybe a bigger front mounted intercooler not sure tho, will i see any increase? Possibly decat it aswell. Might free up a few more bhp somewhere haha

Argh! SO MUCH WANT! The misses is getting the dCi as soon as she's passed so I'm not allowed to do anything other than cosmetic and even then she has to approve. I'm 99% sure as soon as she takes her, I'll be definatley eyeing up another 80 or even a 100 to do whatever I want to ))!

I like the look of the f1s. But im not too fond of the colour, so getting some plastidip next week for a quick colour change until i have the funds for new wheels or a refurb. What could dose everyone suggest? Was thinking something bright and silly or just something plain. White?

White wheels are a bad idea unless you're going to wash them every night. I think the car looks good as it stands in that picture with the F1s as they are.

Yeah what kind of torque can the standard clutch take? If i do de-cat and bigger intercooler then ill look into a new clutch.

Yeah glad i didnt do it, think im just going to refurb them in in the current colour. Had white wheels on my old 1.2 clio and they were a state most days.

Cheers! Started to clean it today ready for CSS.

Here's a picture of the bonnet

Bought a boost guage the otherday and fitted it today, i cut out and smoothed it into the cup holder.

That was half way, looks better than that now.

Still need to spray coin holder lid. looks odd there as theres a big difference between the black and normal dash colour, but in person its not as bad.

When i walked into the dyno they had a big screen with the live graph on, and all i saw was 92bhp... i was thinking FFS i've spent all that money and its got fek all. Then he said right lets start the power run and it just flew up, i went from to in seconds haha

What engine mod's have you got raz? Did you go for the full power map or 50/50?

mines not got a lot of mods, CAF to original air filter hose, turbo waste gate tuned to boost earlier and hold over the entire rev range and the head has had stage one done to it ( port flow , tappets modified and inlet outlets flowed )

saying that, i went for a mild map, really want an agressive map now but that will wait.... need exhaust and other bits changing first. one being a better turbo and f**king the adolphi crappy injectors and pump off!!
