Bit of a no go me and gearboxes, is this sensor, does this mean its not driven by ABS? Taken the metal heatshield off it...

Coolio, something ive noticed is in 5th, at about 140 on the clocks, its near 6k(Autobahn). So im assuming this would lower, and maybe be better for cruising as well?
Just want to make sure itll fit

Yeh, ive been given mad quotes for rebuilds - "Oooo it depends whats broken" "Well whats the worst", "we wouldnt know until its opened up"

bit funny this though, some seem to be setup to run the ABS sensor for the speedo, even though they have a gearbox sensor. Not sure why.

I did read about this in another thread, think it was you who posted it as well.
if you look though they don't have the wee spindle thing, they have the casting and it looks like a speedo drive box, but it isn't

Yep, he showed me a ruined diff he took out of another CS members box a few weeks back. Fitted a new diff, some bearings and a syncro for aout 300 notes.
Can't fault him

not what i meant, seen them with a fully functioning sensor in place, but the speedo doesn't stop working when you remove it

I was there today with Gray. Dropped two boxes off to him. The guy seemed very knowledgeable about what he did ( well both of them did ).

in our crypton scanner you can alter it to take the speed signal from speedo or abs...
obviously clip does it too

only had reason to take notice on a ph2 172. Occurs that it might be a crossover year thing. As said, it can be changed in clip anyhow
