A Mk7 Gti for 15k! Superb. It hasn't even been released yet! Über depreciation!

Always liked these - can't see a prob with the alloys, they suit the car well!!!

They hold their money very well, so in two years a MK7 GTI will still be over £15k IMO.

Well, my Gti was 3 and a half years old when I got it, and was £12500, roughly half the price it was bought for.

I wouldn't say they hold their value particularly well, they just start off and end up more expensive! lol

Gave the car it's first wash in my ownership today, it was filthy.

Also fitted my MTEC bulbs, definatly an improvement on the standard yellow ones.

Found out what ET the shadow Monza reps are too, ET40. So each wheel sticks out 10mm more than standard!

Looks superb mate. The reps are a bit poor but the discerning man would never know.

Oh and how is Black to live with?

I have to say I feel the wheels are a bit big. Nice car all the same, some of the optional BBS from the Audi A3 Would suit it nicely....

though to be honest, its your car!

I hate those A3 wheels! Eww.

Much nicer BBS's available!

I quite like them, prefer the wider ones that are options on the A5.

What are the other ones, I can't remember the names of BBS wheels. CH? Similar to a set of standard Beemer wheels.

It's so rewarding to clean, shame within a day or two it will be filthy again...

Regarding the wheels, in the summer when I'm not saving for a ridiculously expensive cruise, I'll be looking to get some BBS VZ/Pescara wheels.

Love them!

Great choice of wheel! I always get that pattern if the car is mildly warm still.

A friend of mine has taken the sound deadening foamy carpet s**t out from under the bonnet, apparently it aids with the noise of the car. May try it at the weekend ;).

Hero Matt, sublime shoe's for a Golf.

Will it need a drop or will it look okay? Is the suspension the same as the Ed30 as the normal GTi?

Cheers lads.

I believe the Ed30 and standard GTI have the same suspension, although font quite me on that.

Ill be looking into some H&Rs later on in the year, although I had to "borrow" some cruise savings money to buy these which has gone down lead a lead balloon TBH.

Well I got up early this morning and gave the car 4 hours worth of cleaning, it was a real filthy mess.

Also got the new Edition30 Pescara wheels on.

Look so much better :)

Also managed 36 mpg on a run to Leeds and back, which isnt too bad for a two litre turbo engine.
