Not changing already?!

Tbf, I wish I had got a Z4 when I bought my 350z. Would probably still have it, cracking cars.

I bought this to keep for a few years. It does everything ace so it's hard to justify swapping.

Besides, Sarah loves it so there's no chance ill be getting a Z4 anytime soon.

Maybe in a year or so.

I'm soooooo tempted to punt the X5 for another R32... I also fancy a Candy White Ed30!

A few more upto date pictures from last week.

They come up every now and again don't they but its hard to get them before they are snapped up!

Its completely standard mate, it's our daily driver and the Mrs drives it most days so not looking to lower it really.

Guessing its had its cambelt changed? Need to get mine sorted soon

Its over due! It's getting a full service next month my an independant so will look to get it done then, along with a new DV.

Any of you changed your "Fuel Pump Cam Follower" yet? Apparently it should be done fairly often, and judging by this guide it doesn't look like too much of a pain!

Didnt know anything about it mate, ill have a look into it though.

I prefer to pay a mechanic to do all my car jobs though

Hmm, My car has done just about 45-50k and is 5 years old. Not sure whether to get it done this summer or next.

RE 'Fuel pump cam follower' - never heard anything about it, so won't be listening to some forum geeks telling me to change unnecessary bits! lol

Cheapest place i found was a place near stafford i think. I rememebr going to Monkey World during the service so it must have been around there.

Ahh thanks. Had a look round there and found Midlands VW so will take it there!

Dave - will mention it and see what they say then.

Not looking forward to this bill!

Small upgrade; the car has just had its full service done at an independent in Huddersfield.

Also replaced the revision C diverter valve for then new Revision G one.

Car was fault free and nothing needed doing luckily.

Total cost: £ 280

Also had my renewal through from Brentacre; £630 fully comp for the year.

Shopped arround for the first time in years and Neil from Greenlight on here did it for £530 with lots of extras and free Stage 1 cover!!

Remap after my holiday in July I think now :)

Has the owner of garage got a very tidy mk1 with a 1.8T lump in it, seen him knocking around.

OT car looks great now its on the BBS wheels, very nice

  TTRS & V50
Looks fantastic, coilovers, stage 1 and finish I would say. However I'm sure springs would be a big enough drop.

It's safe to say that those reps were utter s**t, wide offset looked awful. ED30 wheels are EPIC.

Some more up to date pictures of the car, post clay-bar :)

Really starting to look at these now there hitting the 5-6k mark, what sort of day to day running costs are you finding?

MPG, Servicing, any faults / problems you've had or know about? Pm me if you don't want to clog up your thread with boring bits like that!

Car looks great by the way and is one of the examples making me look at them!

Thanks Matthew.

Running costs are no more than a 182 to be honest.

MPG around town between 22 and 25 mpg, on the motorway 45 mpg is achievable.

Just had a full service for £250 and tyres are about 130 a pop for good ones.

Not had any problems with this one, touch wood, although one I had a few years ago had some engine problems.

They are the best all round car for the money you can get IMO.

Sounds great then, I'm not massively fussed with me only having an 18mile round trip to work over country roads so high 20s would be ideal. How much is a full tank currently?

I usually put £40 each time, that's about 3/4 of a tank.

If I was looking for one, full service history would be must.

The turbo two litre engine needs proper servicing.

I wouldn't get the cheapest on sale, I'd be paying abit more for a good one (that's what I did)
