My Integra DC2

  DC2 TypeR / E36 328i
So this is my Integra that I've had for the past few months.

It's a car I've always wanted to own, and after owning a Seat Ibiza Cupra for a few months I needed something that could handle a corner!

I've done quite a few jobs on it now like tackling rust, fitting a DC sports exhaust, undersealing, servicing, changing the front bumper etc. You can read about it here:
http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=1195476&mid=202896

I'll try and keep this thread simple with just pictures! Enjoy, let me know what you think.

I don't really like the wheels, it needs new stickers and the cambelt is due.

Other than that, I love it!

I haven't had chance for any proper pics with the new bumper fitted, but this is what the front end looks like now:

Much nicer IMO. The Honda badge isn't faded either which was a bonus!

Looks really nice. Always fancied one of these but never had the balls to buy one as I don't know a thing about them.

Love them.

Don't like the wheels though, looks like a zafira with its hubcaps missing.

Prepare to be flamed by people who still live with their parents and who wear clothes from the 80's for having Rota's on your Honda.

Lol I can take it, I don't really like Rota wheels to be honest, they just rip off decent manufacturers ideas.

The ones on this car are a replica of Spoon sw388's

Flol.

Looks tidy mate. What did you use to underseal mate?

I really wish I'd never sold it. ah well, hindsight is a wondeful thing! It was awesome at the ring, the only problem i had, was my speedo converter packed up, so I was back to KM for a bit. Never missed a beat otherwise, 1400 miles, 4 tanks of fuel, so was quite an economical drive too.

I've noticed mine isn't too bad on juice, I'm averaging 32mpg at the moment.
I'll make sure I post plenty of pics when I go!

Awesome!
Looked at these before getting the EP3.

I looked at EP3's before getting this too tbh.

Out of interest what swung you to the EP3? I thought the DC2 was a much better drive, which was my main buying point.

I wanted something a bit newer I think. When I got my EP3 it was a lot closer than any decent teg was, and it only had 48k on the clock. Still only at 57k a year and a half later!
Not that mileage really matters if you look after it.

Nice mate,
Although, looking through the Pistonheads thread, I swear that Type R sticker is wonky (OCD).

Ah fair enough buddy. Mine has just ticked over 96k.

I had my heart set on a Milano Ep3 but was left disappointed after the test drive :\

I also came very close to buying one that had been resprayed Champ White but my instinct got the better of me (couldn't help but worry it was previously damaged - as I do with any car that's had a respray)

Cheers pal, haven't seen your cup for a while, Solly said you had a few problems with it?

Haha, it probably is. They're all coming off at the weekend anyway weather permitting.

Thanks mate

spent 7 hours cleaning the inner arches and doing a general tidy up on the exterior/interior on Saturday, went out for a drive on Sunday to Squires Cafe and the clutch started playing up!

Managed to get it to work and back yesterday but the damage is pretty bad so I've left it at home today and have ordered an OEM clutch kit.

Thanks everyone!

The first time I used hammerite underwaxoyl in a spray can, but they didn't have any in stock when I went the otherday, so had to use some Simoniz stuff.

Did the job.

Undersealed arches by DanielJames., on Flickr

If he's still around Dixon motorsport (Honda specialist) in London underseal the whole car for like 150 notes or something ridiculous. He did my geo once, really top bloke. Cheap as f*ck too!

Really nice teg btw, really want to own one.

That's a good price! Although it cost me £6 and a few hours work to do the arches, DIY ftw ;)

Going to get some more Hammerite tonight on my way home to tidy up the front wishbones, they looked shocking when I was under the car last night.

Problems? Endless problems! I think Solly was just as glad as I was to see it sold back in FEB!
Have an Ibiza now, just a 1.4 Sport. Does the job perfectly, getting the RS itch again however..

Should have got a JDM. tut tut.......:nono:

I can't insure a JDM, literally.

Oh dear! An Ibiza :dead: I had one for 2 months between the BMW and the Integra. Hated it (well it was okay in a straight line)

Had I actually made any of the Squires nights this year bar April I'd have no doubt seen this.

Get those Slips off and get some proper Regas on it, in white. They're lighter, stronger and cooler than the Rotas.

Also not sure why people struggle insuring imports, made about £100 difference for me on the RX7.

Haha, it's a 59 though, newer shape. Plus it's for saving cash purposes. £250 insurance I can't complain, and compared to RS running costs-wise it's saving me plenty. I think it's only got around 90bhp.

Love a good DC2... looks cracking mate!

Although them wheels really let it down IMO.

Cheers pal, yeah I agree, I don't really like them.

I think the game changes at 21 year old, I couldn't even get a quote on a JDM at 20, well Flux quoted me 10k but obviously that doesn't count!

These are great value for the money.hope you enjoy it

It looks like a nice UK DC2 you have there pal ;)

Cheers pal!

You bought a 59 plate Seat to save money? Seems legit ;)

Sometimes I wish I had a newer car, but there's plenty of time to drive some s**t ecobox, these old raw cars simply aren't made anymore. (although the GT86 looks sweeeeeeeeeeet)

The tar was really pissing me off, Tardis made light work of it! Highly recommend.

Went out for a little driver Saturday night that ended up being a 70 mile tour of Leeds and surrounding areas

I uploaded these from my iPad using the flickr app so they've come out a bit weird! still happy with them, at least they match lol

I also made a video, edited using iMovie on the iPad, which is pretty much waste of money if you're thinking of getting it to edit videos lol.
