I'd say 200mph's comment is pretty fair tbh... mine is on 91K in bg 04 plate and I'd expect nowhere near that. 4K is pretty much top of what it's going to be worth through a private sale (imo, no offence to the OP) so saying that it's top money is not an unreasonable comment.

I'd recommend unlinking a thread that starts with "LY makes my balls tingle"... Other than that the advert is not bad but nothing special. Maybe details of service history would be beneficial?

Good luck with the sale I'm pretty sure XTA was for sale when I was looking for my 182.

Well the only reason its up for 4k is it just cost me nearly £1000 in january and plus i paid 3800 for it .

Yes i did buy it from lincoln . yea i repairs the bumper tidy lol as it was a botch job done on it and yes i have looked after it sorted all the problems out .

lol at the way this forum de values clio sports, surely its in your own interests to keep the values high. only LYs ive seen for same recently one was £5495, another £4700 and then one cheap one at £3500 iirc so its up to you what to put it up for

I would say if a similar mileaged ITB'd 172 with 4 pots doesnt make over 3k then you may struggle to get 4k for this. Fingers crossed tho.

BUT ITS LIQUID YELLOW !! And i do find its rathers a bit of a piss take you pay for it and then thats all people do is critisize you .

And yea i know thats alot of money for it but im just trying to get some money back on it .

as for the ITB's clio i sold a 55 plate clio 182 silver with 35k full renault service history 4pots and gaz gold coilovers and cammed etc etc the list just goes on and on for £3300 so i think he's asking a but much for it dont you and i only put it on ya to see if some on is intrested in it not to be critisized

Supply and demand if someone wants a Ly Clio the will have to pay what's out there, yours is prob the only Ly up for sale at the mo? So if it's 1k or 10k then that is the price they will pay if they really want one! Good luck with the sale bud.

naah theres atleast 4 inc his, theres one for £3700 in kent (mot and tax run out soon hence price) one for £4650 in edinburgh and one for £5*** as laura said, i think this is priced well....

A car is always worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I would more then happily pay £4k for a mint LY182 just because I think they are mint. So it maybe 'top money' to certain people but it may be a nice price to others.

You pay a premium for LY, I paid extra for the colour when I could of got and RB or other colour with similar mileage for less. Well worth it to honest, but you'll find someone willing to buy it.

Mileage has a big effect on Price whether its mint or not- just because the surface may look good the components etc have still travelled that distance-

A private sale on an alleged 'MINT' LY on say 30k you might be able to squeeze 5250 private- or even hold out for 5500

it then staggers downwards- all these are if the car is MINT
40k -4750-5k
50k- 4250-4500
60k- 4000-4250
70k- 3750-4000
80k- 3500-3750
90k- 3250-3500

these are all approximate prices-

bearing in mind the little bit of work required & IIRC there was black wheels when I looked ( never goes down well on a 182)
then 2800- 3250 would be the ballpark selling price

I would have listed it on Ebay 3995 Buy it now or best offer... not 4k starting bid ( if im remembering correctly)

sell them at them prices because we can simple as that, if he can sell for 4k then so be it, more money in his pocket but from the way the markets going for this particular car (worth more in parts) it'll be on the mkt for months on end, no point trying though
