Hey guys, been to this forum many times and always found what ive been looking for, so ive decided to join up
first post, ive owned a 97 mk1 ph3 1.2 for about 6 months now after the old fiesta mk3 failed its MOT on just about everything ,Thats when i brought my mk1. its my second french car after 1.4 306 merdian,
i brought it from a local dealer for £500 , one old lady owner from new (as usaul) with 64'000 , ive done 6000 miles in it so far and love it to bits :race: great fuel cosumption , (ive had near enough 50 mpg on a long run up northumbria recently) cheap insurance, its quite pokey for a 1.2 aswell, im running up a no claims bonus and hope to drop a bigger lump into it in the not too distant future,
Its in very good condition for a car thats 15 years old!, underneath is tidy , no signs of rust , got the full service history from new , every receipt from new, the lot,
i like to modify my cars,but keep it subtle and make it my own, (on a budget)
fitted a 3.5" backbox and decat i had lurking in the garage, but it was ridiculously loud, (kept back box but replaced the CAT),
Built up a enclosed k&N with some carbon fibre pipe from work
abit of stickers here and there
LED side lights
blue LED strips in footwells and under seats
painted stardard 13" steelies
rear end lowered about 50mm , ~(riding with some reverse rake whilst saving for coilovers)definitely stiffed up the backend though,
im now working through respraying all door strips , bumpers, door handles and other dark work in satin black
just thought id post a few pics to see what you guys think
